What are you selling?

Having a name that encomposes what you sell or what you stand for is powerful Your name could be quite literal to what you do  

Who’s your customer avatar?

It will be powerful to be clear on who your customer is and their common prefrences. This Think about your customer avatars and what they like and would be drawn too  

Is there opportunity for strong symbolism?

Does it mean something and say something?  

Is it scalable & adaptable?

Does this name bottle neck your business when thinking about long term growth and expansion? Meaning could you expand your product offering Does your name leave room for your business to grow and evolve or does it lock you into a specific line of product or niche? Not that have a specific name is a bad thing, because it’s actually a great thing. Be sure to think of your business 5-10 years out as it’s evolving into what you want it to be or what it could be today. Does your name still work? Going through a major name change with an already established brand is very complex and expensive so nailing it from the start is always best.  

Findability & Searchability

Is it easy to pronounce and spell? Is there a lot of other companies with similar name hogging the search results?
